Emerging Women Projects, a nonprofit organization for teen girls' empowerment, launched The Dressing Room Project in 2000 to "free girls & women from the bonds of media-imposed standards of beauty."
They're posting colorful girl-designed cards on mirrors in women's dressing rooms to encourage girls and women to "feel more comfortable in our uniquely beautiful bodies." You can also send "e-cards" from their website (www.thedressingroomproject.org).
Some messages on the cards: "Worry about the size of your heart not the size of your body," "You are beautiful!," "Beauty is within."
Cards can be printed off the project's website and posted in one's own community if desired. There's no charge for printing the cards, but they do encourage registering as a "DRP Action Team" to help provide them with "essential documentation of support in numbers." (And being a nonprofit organization, they of course welcome donations.)
Nice initiative!
